Fathers, co-parents and partners

If you’re a new or expecting father, co-parent or partner, we offer support and advice to help you navigate the transition into parenthood with confidence.

Regular events for dads and co-parents

Becoming Dad sessions – is a free information session designed specifically for new and expecting fathers or co-parents. Facilitated by trained staff from the Family Support Service, this session provides a welcoming space to explore the practical and emotional aspects of early parenthood.

What to expect:

  • a supportive environment to ask questions and connect with other fathers
  • guidance on developing healthy relationships and understanding your baby’s development
  • practical advice on hands-on baby care, bonding, and attachment plus managing infant crying
  • strategies for maintaining good mental health for yourself and your partner
  • babies aged 0–1 years are welcome to attend with their parent.

Saturdads – a fun, free drop-in session for children aged 0–5 years and their male carers. We have a range of activities and resources for children to explore. Dads can come along to meet and socialise with other dads and carers. Drop in, no booking required!
